LAURENCE WALLACE
Since leaving the RCA in 1978 Laurence Wallace has exhibited widely, having had over 20 solo exhibitions throughout London and the rest of the UK. Fascinated by the long history and painting process of watercolour and inspired by John Sell Cotman, John Singer Sargent and Eric Ravilious among others, watercolour is Wallace’s principal medium. Derived from observational drawings, Wallace’s practice take inspiration from domestic objects to the built environment of public and private spaces. By excluding human figures from his work, Wallace invites us, the viewer, to bring emotion to his work.

ANNE LYNCH
Anne Lynch was born in Edinburgh and studied at Edinburgh College of Art and has studios in both London and France. Elected as Associate Member of the Royal Watercolour Society. (ARWS), Lynch exhibits widely in Britain and France and the USA. Lynch is best known for her large-scale watercolours, in which she incorporates collage in order to sustain the mark making and luminosity that make her paintings so bold and exciting. She won the Art Critic Award for outstanding work in the Royal Institute of Painters (RIWS) in Watercolour at the Mall Galleries in 2018, the Purchase Prize at the RISW Contemporary Watercolour Exhibition in 2017, and was shortlisted for the Drawing Bursary Discerning Eye exhibition in 2014.
