Jenny Fermor is a British artist living and working in Spain. Originally from Devon in the UK, she has a degree in Fine Art. She spends her time painting vivid, sun-filled landscapes from her studio in Madrid.
Jenny is obsessed with the warmth and glow of the sun against a wall, and with the geometric shapes formed by the contrasting shadows. She likes to build paintings around that contrast, balancing the elements, the layers of the dark and light values, the translucent and the opaque, until they find harmony in the composition.. Her paintings are a combination of observation and inspiration, and they float somewhere between realism and abstract.
