“This is my second set of ‘night paintings’, and for these, I have focused on fairgrounds and circuses. They are places that make almost no sense without people, crowds, and laughter, yet I stilledited out all the humans. The dodgems are parked haphazardly,and no one queues for them. Nobody buys tickets from the candy-striped booth. What happened just before these paintings? What happened immediately afterward? What is the story here”?
