Iain Nutting

Iain Nutting a BA (hons) graduate from St.Martins School of Art, with an intimate knowledge of sculpture from Medieval to the present, gained from working at the Tate Gallery, as a freelance sculpture restorer and as assistant to Anthony Gormley,  dedicates  himself to the production of sculpture made from recycled steel. Although skilled at carving, modelling and casting, his preference has always been for constructed metal sculpture, using the industrial welding process.

Iain’s captivating sculptures speak of the metal they are made from, but through the process of making, he also captures the very essence of the subject that inspires him. The resulting works are both unique and mesmerising.

Selling virtually all that he produces, Iain has work in public and private collections, throughout the UK, in Europe and America. His latest works have just been installed in a prestigious new office development on Bishopsgate, in the City of London.

These sculptures capture the character and escence of the subject. They do not try to merely imitate the shapes and forms we see, but reflect feelings we have and our relationship with nature. Commissions can be taken for public and private projects.
